Huawei Honor 8 Review

A few days ago we learned that the launch of the new flagship Honor 8 is imminent: it is leaked even an alleged official launch date, which would have been fixed for the 5 of July. We are not yet able to confirm these rumors, but since Huawei today released the first teaser of the new, highly anticipated smartphone of Honor online, it is likely that the device’s presentation is really close.

Inside the teaser, Huawei Honor 8 defines as “beauty out of the ordinary”. Previous rumor about the device had already revealed that the Taiwanese manufacturer would place the emphasis on the aesthetic aspect of the product. It even appears that the company has hired a VIP to promote the launch of the new flagship. It is a crucial product for Honor, since it would be cheaper than the V8 model Honor announced a few months ago, but with hardware specifications that can make it shine in the ecosystem mid-range.

Apparently Honor 8 will feature an attractive design double glass design with metal frame. The frames should be extremely thin, making it even more fascinating the front of the product. As for the “inner beauty” of Honor 8, we talk about a Kirin 955 octa-core processor with 4GB of RAM, and three storage variants – 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. The display will be relatively compact, being equipped with a 5.2-inch diagonal and Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. As Huawei Honor V8 and P9, Honor 8 will be equipped with a dual-12MP camera module on the back, even though we do not know if there will be any kind of differences compared to the one mounted on the V8.

Among other features we should find an infrared port, a 3200 mAh battery, a fingerprint biometric sensor for fingerprint recognition and a Type-C USB port. Four different versions are available: one with 32GB of storage free of NFC connectivity, and the other three with ROM 32GB, 64GB and 128GB supplies instead of NFC, with prices of 1999, respectively, 2199, 2499 and 2799 yuan (about 273, 301 , 342 and 383 euro). The top version could be provided, unlike the others, of a Quad HD / 2K panel 2560 x 1440 pixels.
