Competition in the mobile sector is intense, but if there is a segment where he becomes still more complicated if there is no doubt in the middle range. Today the offer is enormous, but a few years ago there were many proposals to follow the philosophy of the “much too little”, if not that the choice is reduced to a few models, and among them, the Motorola Moto G were no doubt the Kings of this category.
Things have changed a lot in a few years and today the middle range has grown to almost complete saturation. But in Lenovo they not surrender and continue trying to sure its Moto G line is among the most interesting options of this segment. His latest proposal is duo Moto G5 and G5 Plus bike we just know at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Let’s take a look at all what they offer.
More manageable sizes and metal designs
Like its predecessors, the new G5 bike come in two variants, one normal with some simple features and a more complete Plus variant, but in this case other differences are added.
The screen size is the main difference with the naked eye and which also distance them from the previous Moto G4, whose screens were both 5.5 inch. Lenovo rectifies this time for two different, both diagonals that are more manageable.

Speaking of cameras, the Moto G5 has 13 megapixel of resolution and focus by phase detection. Moreover, the Moto G5 Plus benefits from a more advanced configuration. Its main sensor has 12 megapixels, but is larger and that, combined with its lens f/1.7, translates into better low-light according to the company.
The approach is another strong point of the Moto G5 Plus camera. The terminal has Dual Pixel technology to make the approach more quickly (up to 60% more than the G4 Plus according to Lenovo). For the front camera, the two have a 5 megapixel sensor.
Another key difference with respect to the previous Moto G4 resides in the processor, more specifically in the Moto G5. If Lenovo last year argued for the same chip (Snapdragon 617), this year the Moto G5 suffer cuts and complies with a Snapdragon 430, while his older brother rides Snapdragon 625.
In regards to the memory, the two have 2 GB of RAM, although the G5 Plus bike will also be a version of 3 GB of RAM. Contrary to what had been said, the internal capacity will be 16 GB on the basic model and 32 GB in the top.
For battery, motorcycle G5 integrates a unit of 2,800 mAh capacity with fast charging system and the G5 Plus rises to 3,000 mAh with function TurboPower, a system that, according to Lenovo, gets up to six hours of autonomy in just 15 minutes.
Of course, in the section of the software have 7.0 Android Nougat and an interface that is very close to Android stock, including support for Google Assistant, although currently the wizard is only available in English.
In addition, Lenovo is permitted to include some functions as the system of notifications Moto Display and Moto Actions, with advantages such as the scrolling between screens with gestures on the fingerprint reader.
Lenovo has confirmed that the G5 Moto and Moto G5 Plus will be launched in Latin America, Europe, North America and Asia from the month of March and until they have unveiled their prices.
